One day a women went to get a pot of water, while her baby slept in the cradle. Her dog was in the house. While the woman was away, the dog saw a snake creeping toward the baby. The dog jumped to the snake. It was a fierce fight. At last the dog cut the snake into two with its sharp teeth. 

The woman returned home. When she opened the door, she saw the dog covered with blood."Oh, the dog has killed my baby! " she cried, horrified. She dropped the pot on the dog's head and killed it at once. She then went in and looked into the cradle. The baby was safe. Turning around, she found a dead snake on the floor.

"What have i done ?"she cried . "The dog had saved my baby, and I have kill it."She wart her rash act.
