EVENTS IN BANDUNG WHEN PROKLAMATION

To spread this historic event, the office worker Domei (now LKBN Between), the proclamation of independence broadcast over the radio. They form a body of cooperation with the fighters in the Sedenbu (Lighting Division), office Domei and radio. Name of agency cooperation is abbreviated "Sendor". This organization is well planned seizure and takeover of Bandung Hōsō Kyoku Japan.

To support the plan, broadcasting organization established immediately. By consensus, agreed Sam Kawengkeh as general leadership, RA Darja as head of broadcasting, R. Herman Gandasomantri administrative leadership, and Bambang Sumiskun as technical leadership. The organization is also in charge of improving contacts with the radio fighters in Jakarta. Meant to prepare the call sign, the opening tune, and others associated with the radio broadcast.

Sendora successfully formed on the advice and guidance of political leaders, Oto Iskandardinata. People with the nickname "The starling Harupat" This, once a month and a speech filled event in Bandung Hōsō Kyoku. He is also the always nurture the young spirit who works in the field of communication. Well always provide information about politics at home and abroad.

During preparation, the leaders Sendora improve communication links with the fighters. Included with the radio broadcast fighters in Jakarta, especially in relation to broadcasting plans of Indonesia's independence proclamation. Plan for the historic event broadcasting, radio fighters will be broadcast over the radio that the former Hōsō Kyoku Tegallega located in the East 14 Street (now Jalan Mohammad Toha) by using the channel's board of PTT modulation, the transmitter power 10 KW.

However, until 16 August 1945, Jakarta Hōsō Kyoku still guarded the Japanese army. Thus, not possible to do broadcasting through the radio station.

Meanwhile, in Bandung, at the same time the events occurred which made the heroic youth radio fighters, who had seized and took over the studio and transmitter Hōsō Kyoku Radio Bandung, from the Japanese.

Finally, the radio fighters in Jakarta decided, so the task of broadcasting the proclamation of independence, taken over Radio Bandung through modulation PTT channels from East 56th Street Pegangsaan Jakarta. For that, the leadership of Radio Bandung assigned two technicians (Sukiyun and Mislan) to Jakarta, complete with equipment to prepare the plan. However, these efforts have failed due to intense security and the Japanese army telephone line by Japanese soldiers.

Top deliberations and requests the fighters in Bandung, eventually co-radio fighters in Jakarta, agreed to send a copy of the proclamation by courier to Bandung to be broadcast. At that time, Head of Radio Jakarta, Muin, has had the text written proclamation RRI as journalists present at Jln. East Pegangsaan 56 and sent one of his trusted to send a copy of the text to Radio Bandung. The question was who is the messenger?

K.S. Kostaman, one journalist suggested RRI Bandung, that the messenger is Mohammed Adam, a friend of Adam Malik (former vice president of Indonesia), also known as the reporter character, who at the time of the proclamation seconds, leading the Domei news agency. Toward the end of his life, Mohammed Adam worked on LKBN Antara news agency in Bandung. This was revealed K.S. Kostaman in writing in the bulletin published repercussion RRI Bandung, September 1987 edition. General manager / person in charge at that time publishing is, Drs. H.R. Baskara (Head RRI Bandung).

Proclamation submitted Moh. Adam told R.A. Darya immediately as head of broadcasting Radio Bandung, received at 17:00 pm. At the same time, RRI Jakarta successfully aired proclamation read Joseph Ronodipuro with 1 KW power transmitter so that its scope be limited and can not be accepted abroad.

In Bandung, the text of the proclamation was read back by the broadcaster Radio Bandung. Incidentally Radio Bandung has a special transmitter abroad, the transmitter Mount Malabar. At that time, the transmitter is the biggest power in the archipelago. This transmitter was inaugurated in 1923 for Dutch interests also relations with other European countries have the power of 10 KW. A few years later the relationship was extended another communication to the Asian countries and mainland China is also Japan.

Malabar radio is also the later history of the Republic of Indonesia, the echoing proclamation to the world. Until now the former Malabar Radio building is still visible, in the form of the debris after the building was destroyed when the Japanese army seized from the hands of Dutch Indonesia.

Cites 60 books written in the Radio Republik Indonesia Year 2005 issue, the world heard Indonesia's independence from Radio Bandung on 17 August 1945. Digemparkan world with a resounding cry of freedom from Radio Bandung, "Here Bandung, Indonesia Republic radio".

That sounds full confidence of R.A. Darya, with mention of the sentence he began broadcasting Radio Bandung. This phrase inspired by BBC London. The mention of Radio Republik Indonesia is also based on the text of the speech reception Ir. Sukarno after reading the proclamation of Indonesian independence.

In the broadcast begins, the radio fighters could not find the song march, only Colonel Boogie, so that's the song played over and over again as a musical illustration before reading the text and end the proclamation by the broadcasters Radio Bandung. To tune it was decided to use the song Sundanese arts and Ladrak Degung Longser. This is in accordance with the recognition Imron Rosadi, young Indonesian fighters who were in Baghdad, Iraq.

Indeed, the young freedom fighter radio and across Indonesia also abroad moments before the Allied defeat of Japan had heard the news about that bomb Hirosima on August 6, 1945 and Nagasaki a day later. The destruction of two major cities in Japan was precisely what caused the Japanese surrender on August 14, 1945 to the Allies. This was leaked to the ear fighters Indonesia, both domestically and abroad because many young people even though Indonesia has a radio stealth.

This is precisely what led to the kidnapping of Rengasdengklok against Ir. Sukarno. Adam Malik as a young reporter and Mr. Ahmad Subarjo heard the news of the defeat of the Japanese foreign news that he and other young people wanting self proclaimed Indonesia. After a tough discussion, finally agreed on the following day August 17, Ir. Sukarno and Moh. Hatta will declare independence. In the afternoon the group Ir. Sukarno and Moh. Hatta returned to Jakarta. That night, the concept of proclamation written by Ir. Sukarno and re-type Sajuti Melik.

Meanwhile, the witness admitted history Imron Rosadi hear the reading of the text of the proclamation on August 17, 1945 from Radio Bandung. On Friday night at around 24.00 pm was held in the evening prayer was led Jammi Hammadi Mulla KH Usman Ayip, while prayer by Imron Rosadi. In that prayer imploring Imron Rosadi Indonesia immediate independence.

Toward the middle of the night while searching for radio waves, Imron Rosadi heard a Radio Bandung. It was believed that Imron then served as Indonesian Youth Association in Baghdad Iraq listeners heard announcer greeted with "Here Bandung, Indonesia Republic radio" repeated. Then followed by the phrase "the proclamation ..." and so on.

Hear the broadcast, H. Imron Rosadi jumped for joy. Tears laughing while he shouted, "Our prayer fulfilled, our prayers fulfilled". Does this prayer can be said of Indonesian youth in Baghdad had fulfilled existence? Or just coincidence?

However, we must believe, that their prayer was granted. As the promise of Allah in His saying, "Pray to Me, will answer you!"

Meanwhile, the atmosphere Studio Radio Bandung at Jalan Timur No. Tegallega. 14 when he read the text of the proclamation by the broadcasters quite tense. Alamsyah Sakti Youth who read the text first proclamation was so excited, repeating this good news, the announcer continued, other broadcasters. This broadcast is also supported by the technicians Radio Bandung like Hashim and Sofyan Djunaedi.

Outside the studio, several youth Radio Bandung busy watching the possible attack Japanese troops. They are Sam Amir, Herman Gandasomantri, Mohammad Salman, Odas Sumadilaga, Sukaesih, Rasid Abdul Razak, Memed Sudiono, Achdiyat, and Brotokoesoemo.

This broadcast is also transmitted through Palasari stations in Dayeuhkolot and Malabar, each powered 20 KW and 100 KW. Radio's transmitter Tegallega Bandung at that time and the magnitude of 1 KW of power Ciumbuleuit 10 KW.

Noted figures from the bureau PTT fighters who helped the youth Radio Bandung, among them the Sudirjo, Suharto, Sasudin, Rubinkain, and Ir. Hok Tek Hong. In Jakarta, Jakarta Radio youth who had taken over the local Kyoku Hōsō on August 17, 1945. In addition to reading Joseph Ronodipuro the text of the proclamation, as well as several other broadcasters. Among these are Raden Tatang Sastrawiria have translated the text of the proclamation in Sundanese. On Radio Bandung, the text of the proclamation written in Sundanese RA Darya. For other languages, the author had not been informed because of the proclamation and then read out in various regional languages in Indonesia.

The text of the proclamation was broadcast over the radio he thought the dark at Jalan Thamrin Jakarta August 17, 1945 afternoon.

Rd. Garut Tarogong Tatang birth is the youngest son and Nyi Sastrawiria Rd. Siti Resmana. He still remembers, for Indonesian Ronodipuro read Joseph. In addition, he friends with Adang Kadarusman, Mr. Oetoyo, Prof.. Darajat, Baheramsyah, Bahrum Rangkuti, and Mariam who later became his wife.

During August the fighters continue to carry a radio proclamation throughout the country and the world. In September some of the radio in Java gathered in Jakarta to establish a national radio, which was later renamed Radio Republik Indonesia, precisely September 11.

Since the establishment of RRI, radio fighters continue to try to defend the integrity of the Unitary Republic of Indonesia. Bitter and sweet struggle to defend the sovereignty it becomes a long history of RRI to the present.

The writer as part of the RRI hope, history will not be forgotten the next generation. And most important is to keep the preservation of national unity, as Allah warned, "And do not be divorced apart, it will lose lemahlah you and kedaulatanmu - and patience - Allah is with those who wait".
